All over Shetland, food from the islands can be found in local shops, which are at the heart of their local communities, from Unst to Fair Isle and Skerries to Walls. You can almost always find local bread and other baked goods, but many local shops also sell local potatoes and other vegetables, sometimes from producers very close at hand. This can therefore be truly local food, with few or no food miles.
